Camp Bestival Unveils First Wave Of Acts For 2018 Edition

Camp Bestival has unveiled the line-up for its 2018 edition.

People of finstagram! Grab your fancy dress and prepare for a festi-holiday on the high seas. Here’s the first big wave of #CampBestival2018 shipmates, acts and entertainers inc. our Castle Stage headliners @SimpleMindsmusic, @officialRickAstley and @CleanBandit, plus Big Top headliners @Basement_Jaxx and @Orbital. Also on deck, you’ll find many more maritime beauties such as @DinoworldLive, @RiverCottagehq feasts, ballet, the return of Come Dancing, pantomimes, musicals and even a bloomin’ gin festival. The British music festival, the “little sister” of Bestival, is held annually, in July, at Lulworth Castle in Dorset, and is targeted at families with children of all ages.

Taking place across July 26th – 29th, the 2018 edition will host the likes of Simple Minds, Rick Astley, Clean Bandit, Orbital, Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Sara Cox presents Just Can’t Get Enough 80s, Shed Seven, Tokio Myers, Declan McKenna, dodie, The Skatalites, and more.

Captain da Bank says: “Ahoy there shipmates and anchors aweigh! HMS Camp Bestival is ready to set sail with our first wave of salty seadogs to announce. Expect the unexpected from rock giants Simple Minds and Shed Seven to dance gurus Orbital and Basement Jaxx and a cheeky bit of Rick Astley too…  and that’s just the music. From River Cottage feasts and animatronic dinosaurs, to Insect Circuses, pantomimes and a gin festival, it’s full steam ahead for 2018. All aboard!”
