The Brit Awards has announced the nominees for its 2018 edition.
The ceremony, which will take place on February 21st at the London’s O2 arena, will be hosted by English comedian & actor Jack Whitehall.
Björk and LCD Soundsystem have been nominated for International Female Solo Artist and International Group, respectively, whilst Damon Albarn‘s virtual band Gorillaz received nods for best British Group alongside London Grammar, Royal Blood, Wolf Alice and The xx.
Also, English singer and model Dua Lipa has made BRIT awards history earning five nominations. She is up for British Solo Female Artist, British Artist Video of the Year, British Breakthrough Act, British Single and Mastercard British Album of the Year.
A great achievement, since no female solo artist has ever received five nominations in a single year at the UK awards.
