Björk has revealed details about Cornucopia, a new concert production that is set to debut in the spring of 2019 as part of the inaugural season for New York’s new multi-arts venue The Shed.

I am very excited to announce that I will be part of the Shed’s opening season in Manhattan next spring,” the Icelandic artist wrote in a statement on Twitter. “This winter I will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators.

The new show will be directed by Tony Award-winning director John Tiffany (Once, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), while Chloe Lamford and Tobias Gremmler will handle stage and digital design.

Björk will be joined on stage by Viibra, the seven-piece, all-female Icelandic flute ensemble, along with harpist Katie Buckley, “electronics” player Bergur Þórisson and percussionist Manu Delgado. All seven members of Viibra, Buckley and Þórisson each previously worked with the Icelandic superstar on her last album Utopia.

Date and ticket information will be announced later this year. Stay tuned for more updates!
