A new brand called Wheel introduces the record player of your dreams on Kickstarter.
The design of Wheel has emphasized simplicity, removing all external extremities of the tool besides the record itself.
Wheel explains that the record is still able to play due to their “invisible” needle which plays from under the record, offering an unobstructed view of the vinyl. With Wheel’s new and unique design, the device can be used both horizontally and vertically, you can put it flat on a table, place it upright on a stand, or hang it on the wall.
Wheel’s linear tonearm is built around the beautiful AudioTechnica AT95E cartridge. With our tonearm, the AT95E offers a warm sound and outstanding clarity and detail. For a perfect match, the entire arm is micro machined out of a single piece of laminated mahogany. Using a single type of cartridge, we can fine-tune each tonearm for damping, resonance and weight distribution to make Wheel sound its best.
Wheel is expected to cost around $850 / £806, but those who pledge to the Kickstarter are eligible for a 30% discount.
