Discogs Now Lets You Buy Records Using iOS App

The new version of the app is also integrated with the VinylHub record store database.

Discogs users with the iOS app will now be able to buy music directly from the site’s marketplace.

Version 2.0 of the app now has full integration with Discogs’ marketplace, allowing users quick access to the nearly 40 million items available from some 80,000 sellers. (The previous version would instead send prospective buyers to the mobile website.) The newly updated app is also integrated with VinylHub, the Discogs sister site with a database of more than 7,000 record shops around the world.

The iOS update follows in the footsteps of the previously introduced Android version, debuted in January.

Discogs made news a couple weeks ago when a one-of-a-kind production copy of Prince’s The Black Album sold for $27,500 through its marketplace—by far the most expensive purchase ever made there.
