Swedish singer-songwriter Neneh Cherry has shared her new first music since 2014’s Blank Project.

Produced by Four Tet and Massive Attack‘s 3D, ‘Kong‘ is a politically and socially-minded track revolving around the current refugee crisis taking place in Europe. “Every nation seeks its friends in France and Italy and all across the seven seas,” she sings. “Bite my head off still my world. Will always be a little risk worth taking.

The music video is directed by filmmaker Jenn Nkiru, a Peckham native who has recently worked on Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s ‘APESHIT‘ video. Watch it below!

Kong‘ is out now on Cherry’s Smalltown Supersound.
