Theo Parrish has dropped a three-disc live recording from the last night of his residency at London’s Plastic People.
Located in the heart of east London’s Shoreditch, this famous nightlife institution has been the heart of UK dance music for two decades thanks to its famous FWD>> nights as well as for having host residencies for the likes of Theo Parrish himself, Floating Point, James Blake, Carl Craig and Four Tet. Unfortunately, however, in 2015 the venue closed due to license problems. In the words of manager Charlotte Kepel: “We will not open again in 2015. Plastic People had great runs both on Oxford Street and Curtain Road. A fabulous time was had and it felt right to move on.”
Available now on CD format via Parrish’s Sound Signature, Thanks To Plastic follows his Gentrified Love Part 4 EP, the fourth instalment of the Gentrified Love series which was released in April.
