Techno legend Jeff Mills has shared details of a new collaborative album with his electronic jazz quartet Spiral Deluxe, titled Voodoo Magic.

Formed in 2014, Spiral Deluxe features Mills on drums and percussion, alongside Kenji “Jino” Hino on bass, Yumiko Ohno from Buffalo Daughter on Moog synthesizer and Underground Resistance’s Gerald Mitchell on keyboards. Together they have already released two EPs and played live shows around Europe and Asia.

Set to land on September 7th via Mills’ Axis Records imprint on vinyl and digital format, the forthcoming five-track album is the result of a two-day session at Studio Ferber in Paris, with all the tracks recorded in only one take. It also includes a remix from Detroit deep house iconic producer Terrence Parker.

Earlier this week, Mills and Tony Allen announced the release of their first collaborative record, an EP called Tomorrow Comes The Harvest, coming this fall via Blue Note. Head here for more info!
