After its successful debut last year, The Electronic Music Awards (EMAs) are returning to Los Angeles for its sophomore year.

Taking place on November 8th at the Willow Studios from the Downtown Arts District in Los Angeles, the event will honor the biggest names in the dance music scene, producers, festivals and more in 13 categories including Album of the Year, DJ of the Year, Producer of the Year, Single of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist, Club of the Year, Festival of the Year and more. We try to get everybody involved in a sense that reflects the whole community,” explained co-founder and executive producer Luke Alan, who created the awards show together with esteemed producer and DJ Paul Oakenfold. “We try our hardest to make the show available to an international audience, since we’re just so big as a global genre,” he then added.

As Mixmag reports, this upcoming second edition will be broadcast online worldwide not only on Twitter as it was previously, but also on Facebook, YouTube and PlayStation in order to “reach domestic and global audiences.

Plus, this year’s winners will be announced throughout the night in a centralized awards area. “There’s still no real sitting down, and there’s still no getting up and doing acceptance speeches, but there [will be an] on-site reveal for each award which can also be streamed online.”
