Spotify is once again traying to improve the way we listen to music, this time by testing a brand new function that auto-mixes playlists even while on shuffle.
The new feature, different from the already existing “crossfade” mode, is meant to beatmatch two tracks in real time and they’re being mixed together as if by a DJ.
The auto-mix, since it’s just at an early testing stage, has been only found in the Drum & Bass Fix playlist on the desktop version of Spotify. For now, Spotify isn’t giving further details.
