It’s the 25th anniversary of the Barcelona festival’s Sónar!
The Sónar 2018 international tour begins in a few days with the 6th edition of Sónar Reykjavik (March 16 and 17), and the 2nd edition of Sónar Hong Kong (March 17), followed by Sónar Istanbul (April 6 and 7).
There will be more than 140 performances spread across 10 stages at Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night.
Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto, Despacio, Miss Kittin & Kim Ann Foxman and Black Coffee are among the names playing at the event.
And a lot more international artists have been added to the program, such as Demdike Stare, singer and producer Yaeji, the new star Yaeji of UK Urban IAMDDB, Los Angeles producer Tokimonsta Live, Norwegian artist Jenny Hval, as well as Liberato, the anonymous Neapolitan artist.
Meanwhile, Red Bull Music Academy complete the Sonar Dôme stage program by adding Sophie, Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement, The Venopian Solitude, the duos formed by Dj Stingray and Mumdance, Suzanne Kraft and Jonny Nash, Dabrye and Mc Kadence, Chloé – Slow Mo live and OkLou, Clip & Cora Novoa Live, Museless and Big Menu & Friends.
Sónar 2018 aims to showcase the national scene’s most interesting artists with performances from producer Alizzz, Pina + Gnomalab, Olde Gods, Steve Lean, Lory Money, and DJ Alicia Carrera, among many other artists.
