Pioneer DJ has just announced a new DJ controller called DDJ-1000.

It consists of a new 4-channel controller, completely re-designed to be used with the company’s rekordbox dj software and features jogs borrowed from the CDJ-2000NXS2, On Jog display that showcases track information, saving users to look at their laptop, ten effects from the DJM-900NXS2, improved Magvel faders, dual USB ports, and more.

There is also selection of 14 Beat FX parameters, while 16 multicoloured Performance Pads (8 per deck) can be used to trigger various features like Hot Cues, Pad FX and Keyboard Mode, which enables users to play a Hot Cue in different semitones.

The launch of the DDJ-1000 coincides with the updated version of rekordbox (ver 5.1). This includes new Automix functions and the Related Tracks feature, adding more options for quickly finding tracks that are matched with the ones users are currently playing. The upgraded software will be available to download on 18th January 2018.
