Pioneer DJ presents a 2-channel mixer that offers a new entry point to the Serato specified DJM series: the DJM-S3. The new mixer is Serato DJ and DVS Enabled thanks to its built-in sound card inherited from the professional DJM-S9, so users can plug it into their PC/Mac and start using it with Serato DJ straight out of the box.

The DJM-S3 mixer – that follows last month’s announcement of the DJM-750MK2, a larger, four-channel design – features two channels, each having three-band EQs and two filters with resonance control, plus a USB port to take advantage of the DVS features of the mixer. It comes also with Pioneer DJ’s flagship Magvel crossfader – the same as the one on the flagship DJM-900NXS2 – and two headphone jacks for back-to-back sessions.

The mixer is Serato DVS Enabled, so users can control their digital tracks via turntables using the Serato Control Vinyl. They can also connect the DDJ-SP1 controller and use its large Performance Pads for tactile control of many Serato DJ features, including its FX.

But, that’s not all! The company leader in the design and production of innovative DJ equipment and software has upgraded one of their popular Serato DJ controllers to create the 2-channel DDJ-SR2.

The two-channel unit comes bundled with the latest features in Serato DJ, including the Pitch ‘n Time DJ Expansion Pack, with Key Shift, Key Sync and Pitch Play controls. Pitch ‘n Time DJ allows users to shift and sync the key of their tracks as well as increase and decrease BPM to extreme tempos while retaining the original key of the music. The controller also retains the 16 colour pads from the previous version, plus, thanks to the high-quality aluminium-finish top panel and jog wheels, it is approximately 18 per cent lighter than its predecessor, so users can easily take it wherever they go.

Both mixer and controller are available now: the DJM-S3 costs €549, while the DDJ-SR2 €699.
