After the announcement on Instagram of a new album, Björk has just dropped its first track. It came out four days before the digital release date she announced on Twitter a few weeks ago. The Icelandic artist stated she was “too excited to wait until monday”.
“‘The Gate’ is essentially a love song, but I say ‘love’ in a more transcendent way. ‘Vulnicura’ was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that’s even greater.”
Her as-yet-unnamed forthcoming album, co-produced by Arca and Rabit, will land in November via One Little Indian.
