Sónar brings together 25,000 people at its international festivals in Hong Kong, Istanbul and Reykjavík.
From June 14 up to 17, Sónar Barcelona will celebrate its 24th edition in Barcelona, and later this year it will continue the Latin America leg of its international tour in Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Santiago de Chile.
Sónar Hong Kong
Successfully held its first festival on Saturday, 1 April, with 5,000 people attending. The festival was spread across 6 stages at the Hong Kong Science Park and offered more than 30 live shows and outdoor dj sets, indoor performances and immersive audiovisual shows.

On the 16, 17 and 18 February the 5th Sónar Reykjavík was successfully staged to vast public acclaim, repeating the successes of previous editions with a recurring attendance of 11,000 people. The festival took place in the extraordinary Harpa auditorium, opposite the city’s port, across 4 stages: SonarClub, SonarHall, SonarComplex -in the auditorium- and SonarLab –which transformed Harpa’s underground parking into a nightclub.
The program included more than 60 performances from exceptional artists like Fatboy Slim, Moderat, who presented their latest work; hip-hop legends De La Soul; award-winning British rap and grime artist Giggs; Berlin producer Blawan, who teamed up with Iceland’s Exos –for a two-hour set-; and Ben Klock, Forest Swords, Helena Hauff and Sleigh Bells, among many others. As always, Sónar Reykjavik also showcased some of the artists who best represent today’s Icelandic scene.
The next edition of Sónar Reykjavík 2018 will take place 16th and 17th of March 2018. As in previous years, Sónar Reykjavík 2018 will take place at one of Europe’s most unique music venues, Harpa Concert Hall, in the heart of the Icelandic capital. The first batch of specially priced early bird tickets have now been released.
