Located in a former screw factory in Digbeth, where Ephraim Phillips created the first Phillips screw, the club opens on Friday, March 17 with London MC CASisDEAD and Manchester grime, bass and full-on party crew LEVELZ.

Two rooms – the main Ephraim Room and Phillips Room, featuring 300 metres of LED lighting.

Friday line-ups cover bass music under the name Continuum, with Night Slugs, Krudd, Marcus Nasty, Swamp81, Mumdance (accompanied by Shed and Logos as part of the Resident Series) and Exit Records playing through March and April.

March 18 is the first house and techno party, headlined by Valentino Kanzyani, Barac and Priku who go back-to-back for eight hours, a world first for them.

Later line-ups feature Steve Bug and Tim Green for Cocoon, Jimmy Edgar, Honey Dijon and Magda, the latter playing a 4 to 10am set on April 1. 808 State (live), DJ Pierre, French trio Mandar, Soul Clap and Wolf + Lamb also play in Season One.

Season Two sees the opening of an indoor garden bar, before mid-summer welcomes Phase Three and the conversion of a the club’s car park into an outdoor terrace. This will take the club’s overall capacity to 4,000 and allow all-day (outside) and all-night (inside) parties.

The press release reads: “Across the entire club, a glass back wall overlooks the River Rae. With each party built around a specific concept, bespoke 3D mapped visuals will be projected onto the adjacent warehouse’s wall.”

“As morning light floods, it will then reveal the club’s own Hall of Fame painted on the same wall by local street artists. Other visual artists and sculptures will also exhibit their work throughout the venue, ensuring that’s interior is constantly evolving and showcasing talent from across Europe.”
