The author of last year’s electronic instrument design book, “Push Turn Move“, Kim Bjørn has teamed up with Chris Meyer to write a new book about making music with modular synths and the culture around them, titled “Patch & Tweak – Exploring Modular Synthesis“.

The book, which also features a foreword by synth pioneer Suzanne Ciani, will be out via Kickstarter on May 1st and it will be a 320+ page book full of knowledge about modular synthesizers, eurorack modules, interviews with modular artists like Hans Zimmer, Robert Rich, Bana Haffar, Caterina Barbieri, Russell E. L. Butler, Ian Boddy and more, but also interviews with key modular brands such as Verbos Electronics, Mutable Instruments, Make Noise, Intellijel and 4ms Company.

Patch & Tweak provides an opportunity for new and experienced users to become true masters of their modular systems. In the style of its predecessor, Patch & Tweak contains inspirational interviews with significant creators and major artists that share their passion for modular.” said Kim Bjørn and Chris Meyer.
