Scottish indie rock band Franz Ferdinand has shared a pair of remix bundles of ‘Always Ascending‘, their acclaimed fifth album which was released on Domino this February.
Available now, the first package includes remixes from Cassius and Prins Thomas and a Nina Kraviz House mix, in which Nina creates an escalating swirl of shuffling percussion and funked up bass full of cathartic vocal stabs. The second, titled ‘Nina Kraviz v Franz Ferdinand‘, features the Nina Kraviz Techno Mix and the Nina Kraviz Late Night Remix.
‘Always Ascending (Late Night Remix)’ is a stripped back roller full of murky vocals and glistening computer glitches, whilst the ‘Techno Remix’ spirals through a dark warehouse punctuated by unnerving fragments of speech from Nina.
