Nina Kraviz is starting a трип sub-label called GALAXIID, specialized in experimental, ambient and psychedelic music.

This new venture will have a strong visual identity, all the cover artworks will be drawn by psychedelic artists. In addition to its musical output, which will center around “experimental, ambient and psychedelia,” GALAXIID will also occasionally put out books. Russia’s Species Of Fish and Icelander Biogen have been pencilled in for the first material on the label, while early Russian psychedelica from the ’70s and signature psychedelic music from Japan is also planned for release. Along with music, the label’s output will also include books.

galaxiidRelease dates on those records are not yet confirmed, but the the first GALAXIID event will feature live sets from 808 State and Dopplereffekt, along with DJs Luke Vibert, Aleksi Perala, PTU and трип regular Bjarki at London’s Printworks on March 25.

Kraviz spoke about GALAXIID on NTS Radio in late 2016—listen back to that show.
