UK producer Special Request has joined forces with Nina Kraviz and Anastasia Kristensen on a new four-track EP titled Through The Looking Glass.
Available July 27th digitally and on vinyl via Houndstooth, the new EP features two Kraviz’s interpretations of ‘Curtain Twitcher’, a track that first appeared on Special Request’s Belief System album. “‘Alice Was Here Remix’ takes the intensity of the original and boils it into a 4/4 spin of frenzied basslines and distorted acoustics, punctuated by her languid reading of the Mad Hatter. For the ‘Samba Version’, syncopated polyrhythms take charge of a fragmented melody,” a press release reads.
Also included are a new Special Request tune, ‘Looking Glass,’ and a rework of ‘Tiresias‘ by the Copenhagen-based techno DJ and producer, Anastasia Kristensen.
