Maceo Plex (real name Eric Estornel) is reviving his Mariel Ito alias with two new EPs and a retrospective album.
The acclaimed American DJ and producer worked under the electro-focused moniker during the early 2000’s, delivering a string of releases via imprints like Modern Love and SCSI-AV.
Now he is ready to relaunch it with two brand new EPs and a LP. ‘2e Komst’ EP will land on January 26th on his Lone Romantic label. The two-tracker will be followed in May by a retrospective album on R&S Records. Titled ‘2000-2005’, the LP will feature unreleased tracks written in that period. A second EP will be launched on R&S later in the summer. The tracklists for the two R&S releases are still TBA.
