London Squatters threw a 12-hour rave in a 17th century mansion on Mare Street, in Hackney, East London, “going through The Prodigy back catalogue since about midnight last night, non-stop,” one local said on Sunday morning.
A number of neighbours complained about the loud music, which apparently continued to 3pm on Sunday.
A Hackney Council spokesperson said: “We received a number of calls last night about noise disturbance at 195 Mare Street. When our enforcement officers contacted residents later on in the night, they were told that the noise had died down. Our enforcement officers will be visiting the property tonight to check for any further disturbance.”
