Leeds’ Mint Club has announced its closing after 20 years of business.

In a statement that the club issued recently, they explain how “the area around the club is being comprehensively redeveloped“, and that they “were not able to renew or extend the lease,” adding that “it has been a big one to swallow for all of us here and there is only one way to go. In style. Over the next months we will be celebrating over 20 years of fantastic music with a series of special shows.

The series of closing parties will take place until December 31st, featuring the likes of Skream, Seth Troxler, Nightmares On Wax and more. “Details of more events and happenings will be coming soon, below the 1st phase of closing events with more to follow in early 2019,” revealed the club.
