Kala‘s critically acclaimed debut in June this year saw 1500 festival attendees dancing until dawn to the likes of Tom Misch, Roy Ayers, Todd Terje, Moodymann, Underground Resistance, The Black Madonna, Hot Chip, Peggy Gou, Maurice Fulton and more, along the crystal shores of Albanian’s stunning Riviera.
Now, the week-long, sunshine-drenched festival is ready to return to Dhërmi for its sophomore year, from 12th – 19th June 2019. Organisers promise to develop their festival site further, offering five stages of music dotted along the sparkling coastline, including the (not so) secret Gjipe Beach, bringing in pop-up restaurants, interactive art installations, a robust policy on green and sustainable issues and plenty more surprises to be revealed in the coming months.
