South African dance music duo Black Motion continue to use music to convey an important socially responsible message by releasing their new music video ‘Lalela‘ feat. Celimpilo.

The video is a continuation of their previous visuals for ‘Heartless Intentions‘ – a story about children exposed to various elements in “kasi” (township) life – released at the end of 2016.

With part one ending on a cliffhanger – the accidental death of a young woman – part two continues with ‘Lalela’ (meaning “Listen” in English) showing the results and consequences of the incident.

Portraying a story that hints at the South African situation, the video ends with a clear statement: “Stop killing our women”, an attempt to raise awareness about violence against women.
