Tricky Shares Music Video For ‘New Stole’

The fourth single to be taken from his universally acclaimed 13th studio album ‘Ununiform’.

Tricky has dropped the video for “New Stole“, featuring vocals from Francesca Belmonte. It is the fourth single to be taken from his universally acclaimed 13th studio album ‘Ununiform’, released in September on his own label False Idols / !K7.

The track is a newly moulded revision of the song “Stole” from Tricky protégé Francesca’s album titled ‘Anima‘. “This song is about a baptism of fire. It’s about acknowledging your trauma, facing it, embracing it, loving it and letting it go. It’s about coming out the other side having done the work, changed forever, for better or worse. It’s about knowing yourself and moving on,” she says.

Produced and directed by Indexthumb the video features Francesca, laden with molten wax effects and dark motifs relating directly to the lyrical inspiration of the song.

Last month, Tricky has also dropped ‘Mixed By… Volume 2‘ EP, which includes two remixes of “Running Wild” feat. Mina Rose. Head here for more info.
