Roland TR-808-Inspired Craft Beer Launched For 808 Day

BR-808, "the American IPA with a Japanese kick"

To celebrate the 808 Day, which was yesterday, August 8th, Mondo Brewing Company in London, DevilCraft in Tokyo, Melvin Brewing in Washington State and filmmakers Origin Workshop, have teamed up and created the new Roland-inspired beer, called the BR-808.

The American IPA with a Japanese kick” comes at 7% ABV, with “tropical citrus aromas, mikan orange peel and flavours from the generous rise of Citra and Amarillo hops,” with a secret ingredient that the promo video claims to come from the sound of the Roland TR-808 itself, which was used during various stages of the brewing process.

In the past few months, Roland has also collaborated with Puma and Uniqlo to produce the 808-themed sneakers and t-shirts.

Details about the BR-808 distribution are still TBA. For now, you can check out the Promo by Origin Workshop, featuring A Guy Called Gerald, below!
