Vancouver’s Isla has announced its next two releases, one from Vancouver artist Slim Media Player and the other from Peruvian duo Jardín.

Quilchena Tracks‘ from Slim Media Player (AKA Sam Scott) features nine new tunes made as a tribute to the train tracks in Vancouver’s Arbutus Corridor“In June of 2016, the defunct train tracks on the Arbutus Railway Corridor were pulled up and paved over by the city of Vancouver. The music on this tape is a tribute to those tracks and the disposition they perpetuate”

Jardín (real names Raúl Gómez and Orlando Ramírez) instead have brought to life ‘El Orador‘, a single-sided cassette that includes a live recording of experimental, industrial-tinged electronics from 2002.
