During our visit at Amsterdam Dance Event 2016 we had the pleasure to meet Riva Starr of Snatch! Records and had a chat with him.

Riva Starr, aka East-London based Stefano Miele, has long burned a mark on the night. Not simply a widely respected DJ, producer and the owner of Snatch! Records, his restless artistry has made a career from shrugging off genre constraints and expectations.

We are here together with Riva Starr, thank you for being with us.

Thanks for having me.

So, this is the 21st edition what do you think about it?

It’s nice, everyone is here. Actually it’s still one of the conferences where you get to meet people and do business, which is one of the main reasons why they do it. And also it’s plenty of very nice parties. I love it, for me it’s still one of the bests.

During these days there are going to be a lot of events and parties, where can we find you?

I did a meet and greet for my label “Snatch! Records” at the InDeep’n’Dance Records shop on Wednesday. Tonight I’m playing at the Air with my friends from Defected and tomorrow I’m having my Snatch! party with Verknipt at the Amsterdam Studios. Yes, it’s a pretty busy week.

Would like to tell us about your projects for the future?

Obviously I still have the Groove Armada remix that is doing pretty well, still at the number one position of Beatport after a month so it’s going quite crazy and I also have an hippie coming on Moon Harbour in November with Matthias Tanzmann’s label and then few other things on Snatch! like remixes, Snatch! Label’s releases coming out, so yes pretty busy. And then touring around! We’re doing BPM with Snatch! party on 11th January 2017 (if you’re around) and many more things to come.

Thank you so much. Hope to see you in House of Frankie. Thank you to Riva Starr.

Ciao!
