For this year’s edition, Amsterdam Dance Event is leaving its main HQ, Felix Meritis, to reach the new location, DeLaMar Theater, which is situated next to the Leidseplein and De Melkweg.
Though ADE-related events take place across Amsterdam, Felix Meritis is the venue that’s most synonymous with the annual electronic music industry bash—it’s a key meeting spot and home to panels, workshops and talks. It’s been ADE‘s HQ for the past 16 years, but in 2017 it’s undergoing renovations.
Last year, 2,200 artists, 550 speakers and almost 1000 events took place in 140 venues over the five days. Thanks to the new location, the move will allow the event to bring previously separately-housed events such as ADE Dance & Brands under one roof.
