Ambient techno classic ‘Electro-Soma‘ was originally released by the Sheffield imprint in 1993 and was composed largely of B12‘s (real names Steven Rutter and Michael Golding) material (released under aliases like Musicology on their own label ‘B12 Records‘).
The fourth edition of the Artificial Intelligence series included remarkable tracks from Aphex Twin, Autechre, Richie Hawtin and The Black Dog.
The reissue now comes with additional material: three different packages and besides the regular vinyl repress, a companion volume presenting unreleased tracks.
A 2CD package includes both the original record and the companion volume.
B12 will also be celebrating the reissue with a live set at The Yard in London on September 15th.
