Beverly Hills-based ticket sales and distribution company Ticketmaster, and its parent company, Live Nation Entertainment, are considering the idea to develop a facial recognition technology to speed up lines at concerts.

With the help of biometric identification company Blink Identity, which claims: “Powered by our proprietary military-grade software, the  Blink Identity security gateway allows venue or festival management to identify people using facial biometrics as they walk at full speed past our sensor, handling over 60 people a minute. Snap, ID, admit.

No concrete plans to introduce this technology have been announced yet, even because the facial recognition technology still has plenty of bugs and the fact that it’s less accurate with people that are not white.
