Technics Unveiled the new Grand Class SL-1200GR Direct-Drive Turntable System at CES 2017 in Las Vegas.
According to What Hi-Fi?, the SL-1200GR is a “standard” version of the SL-1200G, which hit the shelves last year. The new deck has inherited many of the SL-1200G’s features, including the coreless direct-drive motor and high-sensitivity tonearm.
According to Gizmodo, the SL-1200GR price is set to be $2300 CAD when it goes on sale in June, which they suggest equals around $2000 USD. That’s half the price of last year’s model in the US.
