It seems like 2018 is an exciting year for SoundCloud!
Last week at Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the Berlin-based streaming platform made two big announcements: firstly, it entered into a partnership with a slew of DJ performance applications, including Native Instruments, Serato, Virtual DJ, DEX3, Mixvibes, and Hercules, then it inked a deal with rights clearance startup Dubset to clear remixes faster and enable monetization for both content creators and rights holders.
But that’s not all! SoundCloud has now partnered with Instagram, allowing you to share songs from its app directly to Instagram Stories.
So, how does it work?
Once you have downloaded the newest version of the app, you first choose the track you want to share, and then tap the “Share” icon at the bottom of the screen. Depending on the phone you are using, you either select the Instagram icon or tap “Share to Instagram Stories.” The track is then shared in your Instagram Story, alongside the album art as the background, the name of the song, a movable sticker and the SoundCloud logo.
