Pukkelpop is a three-day festival organized by Leopoldsburg’s Humanistische Jongeren (“Young Humanists”), taking place across large fields and woods, near the city of Hasselt, Belgium. It began in 1985 starting life as a small, local music event before becoming an outdoor alternative festival and it has now one of Europe’s greatest music events.
The festival is considered a complete experience, promoting community relationships for over 30 years.
It selects a musical line-up with an alternative fringe, opening up a world of possibilities, from hi-octane rock to low-fi singer-songwriters, bright splashes of pure pop to banging house and hot metal.
For this 2017 edition, the festival has recently added other new artists: Claptone, The Subs, Goldfox B2B Joyhauser, Bafana, Hush Hefner b2b Michael Midnight and many more. These new additions join previously announced artists including Dave Clarke, Jackmaster, Moderat, Mura Masa, Boys Noise, Nicolas Jaar, Flume and 2ManyDJs.
The Subs Saturday performance is set to be a classics-only DJ set. The festival’s Boiler Room will see Laston & Geo, Skyve & Eva De Roo, Ilse Liebens and The Boiler Boys rocking the stage.
