Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics, performed by the Heritage Orchestra and conducted by Jules Buckley, was streamed live from London’s O2 Arena in a sold out event on Thursday 1 December.

Following the success of the BBC Radio 1’s Ibiza Prom at the Royal Albert Hall last summer, the Veteran dance DJ presented Ibiza Classics reshaped by the 60-piece Heritage Orchestra merged with singers and synths directed by conductor Jules Buckley.

Candi Stanton, John Newman, Jessie Ware and all the artists who performed on the stage sent the crowd into ecstasy in an event that will remain in public memory for a long time!

Interviewed by Be At TV, Pete Tong’s referring to his new album “Classic House“:

It was a pretty monumental task recording it because we couldn’t just put the orchestra in a room or theatre and just record it. We had to go back to basics and record everything like the originals, building the layers from the ground up – like a proper record, that’s why all the tracks sound so amazing.

It’s my mission to create a legacy for the scene and point out how much those records mean to people”.
