Peggy Gou has joined forces with the UN Women‘s HeForShe gender equality campaign.
Organized by UN Women, the initiative fights for equal rights and aims to bring educational programs to female populations around the world.
Strongly inspired by this important initiative, the South Korean producer and DJ has released a new track, ‘Shero,’ which is taken from Needs004 x UN present HeForShe. Available now via not-for-profit label Needs, the two-track EP also features ‘Throwdown‘ by Juju & Jordash. All profits will go directly to the UN’s HeForShe campaign.
In an emailed statement, Gou explains: “‘Shero’ is one of the most hypnotic beats I’ve made so far. It has melodic arpeggios moving all around, on a repetitive drum groove. The track means a lot to me having been chosen for the #HeForShe gender equality campaign for UN Women which I’m extremely proud and grateful to be a part of.”
