MUTEK has announced its latest expansion, landing for the first time in the Middle East. The international festival of digital creativity and electronic music will head to Dubai – the United Arab Emirates‘ largest city – on November 16th and 17th.

MICRO MUTEK Dubai, also known as MUTEK.AE, will host international acts like Jeff Mills, Dasha Rush and Francesco Tristano alongside both local acts and artists from MUTEK Montréal.
“We’re bringing MUTEK to Dubai because we see the deep potential and interest from people in enriching the city’s music, art and digital culture, which is still in its early stages,” says Ansari. “We’d also like to shift the emphasis away from clubbing and partying in Dubai and offer a new perspective on the way electronic music and audiovisual practices can be profound, inspiring and revelatory.”
The news follows that of an US edition in San Francisco coming next spring.
