The Southport Weekender in association with Dimensions Festival, Southbank Centre & Mi Soul Radio have just announced a super-exciting event: Louie Vega’s E.O.L. Soulfrito Live Concert.
E.O.L. Soulfrito – the band made up of Louie Vega (conductor/musical director), Josh Milan (keyboards/occasional lead vocal), Anané Vega (backgrounds and lead), Axel Tosca (Fender Rhodes/keyboards), Gene Perez (electric bass), Luisito Quintero (drums/timbales), Carlos Quintero (congas/percussion) and background singers Dawn Tallman, Ramona Dunlap and Biti – is the condensed version of Vega’s Elements Of Life live-band project. Elements Of Life has released three albums, won a Grammy award in 2006 for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical Curtis Mayfield‘s ‘Superfly (Louie Vega EOL Mix)’, and performed the song ‘One Dream’ for a globally-televised audience of 145 million viewers during the 2007 Super Bowl pre-game show.
The warming-up acts for the night will be Ronnie Herel and Brian Power.
