After hosting their very first London festival last year, one of the UK’s most loved parties Southport Weekender Festival has revealed the line-up for its sophomore edition on Saturday 9th June.

Returning to for a celebration of house, soul, R&B, garage and disco, the one-day festival will welcome a wealth of respected artist’s to the capital, featuring performances from Sister Sledge, in a London festival exclusive, founding member of American group Sister Sledge, Kathy Sledge, will perform live, backed by a huge catalogue of hits including “He’s the Greatest Dancer”, “We Are Family” and “Lost in Music”.

Further talent comes from David Morales, who will celebrate 30 years of Def Mix alongside Hector Romero and special guests performing live Juliet Roberts, Robert Owens and Alison Limerick. The acts will be joined by the likes of Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez, Joey Negro, Karizma, DJ Spen, Grant Nelson, John Morales, Dj Jazzy Jeff, Henrik Schwarz, Osunlade and many more!

Curated by a team of music lovers that have ensured Southport Weekender’s legacy has spanned over 30 years – their weekend events of the same name ran for 28 years and hosted 52 parties in total before the finale show in 2015 – the reimagined format upholds the legendary vibe the brand is renowned for.

Known as ‘the world’s friendliest party’, the upcoming London edition will be spread across nine arenas that represent a wealth of musical history, bringing together pioneering DJs, live music and the next generation of artist’s flying the flag for house and soul music.

Standard tickets for the London festival are already on fourth release. VIP passes are also available, plus an extra special VIP package which allows festival goers backstage access and the opportunity to meet artists in the green room area.
