Laurent Garnier has announced his first EP for the Kompakt sub-label.
Garnier’s ‘Tribute EP’ marks the label’s 95th release in the ‘Speicher’ series which originally started back in 2001. This also marks the French legend’s debut for Kompakt Extra.
In the press release, Garnier says: “There are times in our lives when we should dedicate a little something to people or places that are important to us. This is what this record is all about: just to say I love you, I miss you or just simply thank you.”
Garnier was recently awarded The Legion Of Honor by the French government for the reputation he has built himself.
Garnier has been the mind behind classic techno tracks like ‘The Man With The Red Face’ to ‘Crispy Bacon’ and also helped establish the French imprint ‘F Communications’.
