Kepla & Deforrest Brown Jr. collaborated for ‘Absent Personae’ LP

The audio narrative LP is due out September 29th on vinyl, with track 'Absent Personae Postscript' scheduled as a bonus addition.

Sound artist Kepla has teamed up with New York media theorist and music writer DeForrest Brown Jr. on a new collaborative project entitled ‘Absent Personae‘. It will come out on September 29th via PTP.

The audio narrative LP was commissioned by Electronic Voice Phenomena “as an interstitial spectre in transition, resonating with the sinister politics of pseudo-science histories, while speculating on identity as evasion and persona without orientation.”

The imprint said: “The piece is a post-industrial Dérive considering the psychological liminal zones between old and new industry and urbanity, the changing landscapes of labor: a fractured genealogical memory trace obscured by intercepted signals and the liquidating flux of late capitalism.
