Kappa FuturFestival has announced a brand new techno stage for this year’s edition.

Known as the Futur Stage, the new site is a “7500 square metre area of rusted industrial columns, exposed stonework and manicured lawns that can increase capacity by an extra 5.000 people per day,” a press release reads.

It was recently road-tested by techno icon Derrick May, who live-streamed a very special one-hour set from this previously unused part of the Parco Dora (you can watch it below).

This year Kappa FuturFestival will cover many different facets of house and techno across four stages: Dora, Futur, Burn and Jäger.

On Saturday on Jäger, you can expect the likes of Apparat, Eric Prydz, The Martinez Brothers and Timo Maas, while Burn Stage will see the likes of Andrea Oliva, Eats Everything, DJ Tennis and Patrick Topping. Adam Beyer, Amelie Lens and Marco Faraone will take over the Futur Stage, whereas Body & Soul‘s Francois K and Danny Krivit, and Josh Milan will take over the Dora Stage.

Sunday, meanwhile, will be the day to catch Mr Fingers aka Larry Heard, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Peggy Gou on Dora Stage, Derrick May, Robert Hood, Rødhåd on Futur Stage, Jackmaster, Hot Since 82 and Adriatique on Burn Stage, while Luciano, Marco Carola, Seth Troxler, Stacey Pullen, Fatboy Slim, Jamie Jones, KiNK and many more on the Jäger Stage.
