Techno’s founding futurist Jeff Mills and Afrobeat luminary Tony Allen plan to join each other on stage for an intimate hour-long jam session on December 14.

Allen has dipped his toes into techno before, joining the Moritz Von Oswald Trio on 2015’s Sounding Lines, and last year he also joined forces with French disco luminary Cerrone for the Afro EP.

The event will take place at Parisian jazz and blues club New Morning, which opened in Paris’s 10th arrondissement in 1981, is a jazz and blues spot that’s hosted performances from the likes of Art Blakey, Stan Getz, Chet Baker, Pat Metheny, Dizzy Gillespie and Dexter Gordon down the years.

Both Mills and Allen are no strangers to collaborations, and this promises to be a memorable event, with a limited 450 person capacity, and a warm up set by celebrated Parisian cratedigger, Viktor Kiswell

Tickets go on sale on November 8.
