Focusrite has just announced the release of an incredibly cool audio interface for iOS users. The iTrack One Pre is a compact cube that lets you record high-resolution audio from vocals and acoustic instruments directly to your iPhone or iPad. Rather than being powered from an external USB port, the iTrack One Pre generates phantom power straight from your iPhone or iPad’s Lightning connector.
It’s the perfect accompaniment for when you find yourself outside of your normal recording environment. It’s also idea for journalists and soundscape artists who work from remote locations.
