Felix Da Housecat first release is an EP featuring a solo track from the label founder and collaborations with Jamie Principle and Clarian.
The Chicago producer, aka Felix Stallings, has run a few labels over the years, including Radikal Fear Records, a well-regarded outlet for acid house and techno active in the mid-’90s.
His latest endeavor starts with an EP, Founders Of Filth Volume One, with a solo Felix Da Housecat cut and two collaborations: one with Montreal artist Clarian and the other with Clarian and Jamie Principle, the producer and vocalist who first earned acclaim decades ago with his work alongside Frankie Knuckles (and who featured on the new Gorillaz album).
Felix Da Housecat and Jamie Principle previously worked alongside another Chicago house lifer, Vince Lawrence, on a single for Crosstown Rebels.
