DJ Sprinkles and Hardrock Striker started a new project together, after eight years since their last production, “A Short Introduction To The House Sounds Of Terre Thaemlitz“.

The duo joined forces as Skylax House Explosion, S.H.E., and for the first project they worked on a compilation in honor of Hardrock Striker’s label Skylax Records born in 2004, titled indeed “Skylax House Explosion” which will be out on May 28th via Skylax.

The release is a three-piece vinyl compilation featuring previously unreleased music curated by the S.H.E. duo. The compilation will work as a template for S.H.E. next projects.

Skylax Records is renowned to be an active trans house producers supporter, releasing for the likes of Lady Blacktronika and Octo Octa.

On the first CD, Terre Thaemlitz channels an all at once energetic and subdued sonic pallet, presenting a mix that leans on the straight-up house that Skylax Records is known for. In parts, the mix belies the insistently deeper mood of Sprinkles shows in recent years. Terre Thaemlitz has always maintained varying guises, genres, dynamics and styles at once, often standing in opposition to one another.

On second and last disc, Hardrock Striker works with tracks by the likes of Jason Grove, Octo Octa, Fuckthegovernment.Ltd and Urban Inc. He packs more of a bag for the upbeat parties he is known for in Paris, while not straying too far from “deep” sounds that are allied with his label. The mix features friends from the back catalogue of Skylax as well unheard tracks coming soon on one of three exclusive vinyl releases.
