Beatport has just launched the Hype Charts feature, previously announced at IMS Ibiza 2018.
The new tool aims to support smaller independent labels and artists by allocating one banner and two new release tiles to the new charts, the top 10 of which will be visible on the Beatport homepage, giving so more visibility to the smaller labels.
Put together by Beatport’s world-class curation team, “Hype Picks” will be assigned to each of platform’s top 10 genres and will be updated weekly.
“With so many incredible releases added to Beatport each week, there’s a lot of competition for the attention of our DJ customers. The Hype Charts give top billing to those shining gems that might have previously gone under the radar. It’s a valuable tool for Beatport to promote new talent, while encouraging the DJ community to dig deeper in the store,” explained Terry Weerasinghe, Beatport’s Chief Product Officer.
