BBC Radio 4 Aired New Aphex Twin Documentary

“The Cult of the Aphex Twin”, hosted by Quietus' journalist John Doran.

BBC Radio 4 just aired a new documentary exploring the creation and development of Richard D. James‘s, aka Aphex Twin, sound.

The radio doc, titled “The Cult of the Aphex Twin”, was hosted by Quietus’ journalist John Doran, and it “attempts to disentangle the man from the myth”. The 30-minute show compiles interview material from James’ early career, and it follows the reissue of his seminal “Selected Ambient Works ’85-’92“, last month.

The mini-doc features interviews from fans including Vic Reeves and friends such as musicians Tom Middleton, Leila, David Toop and Scanner, plus some anecdotes from David Toop, Frank Ocean collaborator Vegyn, comedian Vic Reeves, and more.
