As Swedish magazine Aftonbladet reports, Avicii (born Tim Bergling) had been working on new projects along with a new EP in his Avīci series before his tragic death last month.

The magazine states the EDM superstar had nearly 200 unreleased songs and that his family “met with record company representatives and partners and agree that an album will be released before the end of the year.” No release date has been set yet.

Following Avicii’s passing, Neil Jacobson, president of Geffen Records, revealed to Variety that he would have discussed about a potential album release with the Swedish artist’s family.

Last month, thousands of Avicii fans gathered in Stockholm to pay tribute to the Swedish DJ and producer, who was found dead of apparent suicide in his hotel room in Oman on April 20th, at the age of 28. The “Avicii Tribute” event was held on Saturday afternoon at Sergels Torg plaza, which was filled with dancing and crying fans.

In a statement to Billboard, Tim Bergling’s family has announced that the funeral will be private. “There have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii. The Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming.
